Amnesty:
Illinois: Effective from February 1, 2008
through March 17, 2008, the Illinois Department of Business
Services is offering Franchise Tax Amnesty and License fee
Amnesty for Corporate Businesses required to file with the
Illinois Secretary of State. This amnesty program allows for
all past due reports, returns, and license fees to be filed

on the delinquent balances. Taxpayers not applying for amnesty
may be subject to increased penalties and interest following
the amnesty application period.
